The Industrial Technology course your child is enrolled in has two main components:

    The first is a Synergistic Lab where students explore the world of work by completing 3 modules each tri-mester which deal with activities associated with the major career cluster areas. These activities comprise approximately 75% of the course. The second component of the course is a traditional Wood Shop experience where students construct individuals projects.

    At the beginning of each tri-mester, students are provided with a course syllabus, ( which outlines course requirements, lab rules and expectations, and course grading standards), and a calendar which outlines the time table for various activities. Students are encouraged to share this information with you, and you are asked to complete a sign-off sheet when you have had an opportunity to review this information.

    Because of the layout of this course, (17 individual modules), if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's daily activities, feel free to contact me at any of the numbers provided above.

The first Notebook / Journal assignment is due at the end of the class period on Monday the 25th of Sept. or at the beginning of the hour on Tuesday the 26. This assignment will represent approximately 75% of the grade your student will have earned this first trimester in his /her Industrial Technology Class. If you have time, please ask about this assignment, and help me remind them when it is due. Assignments will be accepted late, but will be marked accordingly.
